My blog, Inspirations by Kathryn J. Raths includes posts from 2009 to 2016 that were an extension of my Healthy Living Examiner column which has been closed. However, the articles are being revamped as an extension of Kathryn J. Raths.com, which is in the making! The image is a self-portrait I drew in oil pastels; the woods gift me a deep connection with nature and safety!

Examiner article
The topic silent suffering surfaced in correspondence handed out in my group therapy class. This class really does support the concept of relationships. It is amazing what the presence of another or others can do for the psyche. It may feel like you're in this world alone but we are all suffering together and, of course, we are all enjoying the joy of life with each other too.
Silent suffering is self-torture. Give yourself permission to share your story. It might seem like others won't understand but you will be surprised how common your experiences are, both the good and the bad ones.
Take a chance, it is worth the risk.
Leave me a note and let me know what you think, let's make a connection!
