I liked how Adyashanti used
the word consent to participate in the present moment experience. This offers a
different spin on the “standard surrender process” most speak about when we
discuss facing adversity.
When we don’t consent, and
we’re forced into something, we are victimized by the circumstances and
experience, we have no control or composure what so ever. By consenting, it is a step to take ownership
of the moment, you may not know what is going to happen but you trust the
universe and you trust your ability in being both open to the experience and in
being able to learn from and eventually persevere.
Present moment living is
really complex to fully understand and embrace. But, in a simple view, it
really does start with just being okay being.
What are your thoughts?
