I was reminded of symbols and their strength when I recently read John Edwards' latest book, Infinite Wisdom. He uses them to ground himself and as a safety mechanism among other things.
Since I asked you to come up with your list of symbols, you'll find mine below:
Peace for inner calmness- dove
Faith for courage- rainbow
Motivation to enable my dreams- jogger running through the finish line
I call these snapshots to my mind when needed. They are calming and reassuring!
