Tribal culture, continued...

Some people may argue that involving your heart in your work environment is not a good practice but I have always disagreed with this. When I channel through my heart it makes me a person instead of just a boss. I am sincere and considerate offering an understanding that brings a healthy balance to the work relationship. Of course, when a decision must be made or reprimands are necessary, I’ve stepped up and did what I had to do. My employees realized my disappointment and, in most cases, stepped up to the challenge.

In all of my managerial roles, I have created a great departmental structure with a foundation of heart that manifested productivity. It has been and continues to be key to my success. As I said in the article, I believe that when a person filters from the heart especially in the home, it is beneficial in creating a healthy home life.

What are your thoughts about tribal culture and does it fit into your life? I’m curious, leave me a note.

Overeat as protection, continued...

I am, for sure, an emotional eater. I, as of this past year, have been eating my anxiety tied to health issues. I have written previously sharing that I often get jittery. I physically shake, which can be quite scary considering it just started out of the blue one day and it seems to be hanging onto me. This started about a year ago and I believe it may be somehow connected to the sugar in my diet.

I recently started taking Chromium supplement and this seems to be helping to regulate my sugar levels in my blood. For the most part I am now only waking up with a slight shake as apposed to previously when it would hit me at any given time day or night.

I went to many doctor’s appointments where I was tested and scanned for cancers, diabetes, thyroid issues and so on but according to my doctor, she received no alarming diagnosis. She believes I may be suffering sugar spikes and dips therefore this might be metabolic. I have horrible insurance costs therefore I had to stop and give myself a break in order to catch the doctor’s bills up before proceeding with further testing.

This whole ordeal had been really unsettling and considering I shake more when I’m not eating sugar, I felt it necessary to indulge. Not the healthiest choice but my jitters have subsided significantly although my waistline is now bulging, pretty frustrating all and all!

What are you eating away? Or, perhaps you've got a handle on your psyche and your weight is healthy?

Do drop me a note and let’s talk about it.

I think if I could really wrap my mind around this concept, it would solve the stress that seems to hang onto me during my busy life. Michael went through much hardship and, during this time, he was able to practice his message; shift the nervous energy into curiousness.

I have been dabbling in shifting nervous energy into curious energy and it has helped me push outside my box. I recently started co-facilitating a women’s survivor’s group in a local jail and this energy shift has helped me embrace this healing endeavor instead of stressing continuously about it.

I encourage you to pick up a copy of Michael’s book, The Untethered Soul!

What are your thoughts? Do you get anxious often or do you feel comfortable when you push outside your routine?

Leave me a note, I would love to hear from you.

Life blossom, continued...

I think for many there is a huge misconception about Peace; it’s what you bring to the world not what the world gives you. If you realize this, it is foundational to gain enlightenment.

Project-Meditation shared this quote by Ajahn Chah, “"If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace."

I interpret “letting go” as a means of flowing with change as apposed to fighting it. How do you let go or flow? By surfacing peace from within. This, my friend, will calm any storm! Believe this because it’s true and you have the power to do this!

Infidelity, the ultimate betrayal...

Infidelity is really tough. I was faithful in my marriage (although it still ended in divorce) & in all my adult relationships but as a teenager, I was cheated on and I cheated too (boyfriends). I’m not proud of this but I did learn that it was not a good energy and I was able to release it from my life in my teen years.

I had a close friend whose husband cheated and she stayed with him, it was a really traumatic experience for her and for all of us in her circle.

I’m not sure I’ve forgiven him although I love her and therefore I’ve supported her decision.

If you are suffering through infidelity, my prayers are with you. Please try to let go of the past because you can’t start to build a new future if you’re holding onto all of the anger and hurt.

Have you cheated? Have you been cheated on? Did you stay or go?
