Positives of a rainy day continued...

I must admit, I love a rainy day especially when I'm in a bad mood. The solitude nature gifts with a mild rain storm seems to help me go within face the feelings and then release them. I sleep beneath a skylight window in my room and when I hear the rain drops, it really does put me to sleep. Of course I'm not talking about a thunder storm (there isn't anything very gentle about that).

For me, when I hear a forecast of rain, I celebrate the renewal with a good movie, book or Internet time. It helps me to overcome any guilt because normally I would be outside working!

What are your thoughts about the rain. Drop me a note.

Ruchira Agrawal is a fellow Examiner and, being together in this group, has enabled our connection. Although my medium of focus is through the world of art, we’re both working with individuals who feel stuck or lost in thier life. Our work is very similar in this respect. I can totally relate to her feelings about intuition, spirituality and religion as discussed below.

She shared, “I have always been more of a spiritual person rather than a religious one. My awareness and connection with the Universe was strengthened during the time of my crisis. This was also a time when I discovered my gift of Intuition as well as answers to some of the big questions– what am I here to do on earth? What is my vocational calling? And so on. My current work is centered on these findings and that makes it easy to feel fulfilled on a deeper level. I know I am aligned with my higher Self. Being ‘on’ the path is empowering and that gives me an internal sense of peace; at the same time it keeps me anchored regardless of what life may bring.”

She and I are “like people” as I’m sure many of you are and can relate. I love these kind of connections and I look forward to building a great relationship with Ruchira in the future!

If you’re in transition or you’re looking at a crossroad that is causing hardship, drop me a note and/or visit Ruchira’s website, Innerveda.com to learn more and get in touch with her.

Hydrate your life, continued...

I’ve spent the last few years hydrating my Life. Some of the things from my list of interests included: establishing win-win partnerships, anything business, the Internet, the publishing world, world exploration and gaming. My list of things that excite me included a soul mate to share my life with, exotic trips with my family, drawing, writing and helping others.

Over the past couple of years I launched my Internet web business, Lifetime Art Impressions, LLC where I focus my efforts towards helping others heal through creativity. I am commissioned for drawings and inspirational writings. And, I brought a self-published book to the market. As a volunteer I work at Safehouse Center (a domestic violence shelter) on their crisis line and I volunteer for the VA hospital. Annually I cruise with my family and explore exotic islands. Locally, for fun I visit the penny slots at the Michigan Indian Casinos. My boyfriend and I both love gaming and travel. He also launched a business where I lend a helping hand. I’ve found someone who really does understand and love me and I feel the same about him. It fuels the light that shines from my eyes!

10 years ago I spent my time giving my soul away piece by piece in the corporate unappreciative automotive world and in an unhappy marriage. I'm happy it mended and replaced itself through my healing hydration process. My passion for writing and art was buried beneath layers of sadness. Although, I have always traveled since I promised myself, as a child, when I was an adult I would and I kept this promise. These getaways seemed to help sooth my aching and parched soul at that time.

I say it all of the time, my life has taken a 180 degree turn for the better since my transition and I’m hopeful if you’re unhappy you’ll find the motivation and courage to do the same.

I continue to quench my spiritual thirst. I listen to my intuition more closely now and I pay attention and energize the things that fill my inner well. This is what I’m supposed to do and I know this because it feels right.

What are you supposed to do? Reach out and find your way!

An expectation can make or break you, continued...

First I have to talk about the photo I posted with this article. It is of my cat, Scruples, sleeping by my son. Scruples was not a lovy dovy kind of cat but he always wanted to be close. It melts my heart to see his little paw touching my sons arm as they sleep. This is the kind of love that is priceless and that you can expect from our fury little friends, their love and support really does sooth any kind of pain!

Have you ever given your best to someone, who is in a ranking position, but he or she expects more than what is realistic from you? Regardless if you move mountains in your work, daily, they want more! This is an unfair scenario and unfortunately many of us are the target of such behavior and/or we're imposing it.

It is part of our psyche to impose onto others but, if you step out of the scenario for a moment, you'll realize that it is not appropriate. As the article states, expect to give your best and believe in others, hoping they will do the same. Trust in yourself that you can handle whatever comes your way. This is the best way to live your life!

What expectations are imposed onto you? Drop me a note and lets discuss it!

Trend of extremes, continued...

It seems like all life throws my way is extremes and, I'm sure, my life isn't much different than others in this respect. It also seems like I never get used to this roller coaster. For the most part though, I've transitioned into a more positive person over the past few years. Even with the heart-ache, I'm able to see a silver-lining.

I think this gift of silver-lining sighting is heavenly and I believe it is a gift that keeps giving because it does feed positive energy even into the most horrific situation. But the bottom line is that I choose what energy to feed based on my response. I can't control what is thrown at me but I can control how I respond and this choice makes all of the difference in the the outcome!

What are your thoughts on controlling the outcome? Leave a comment!

In memory of Barbara Rekart, continued...

Barbara Rekart is my boyfriend's aunt. It is funny because, from the minute I met her, she welcomed me, as his girlfriend, to feel comfortable calling her Aunt Barb. She was one of those "no-nonsense" type of people. I'm sure she was probably a pistol in her younger years. She was tough but extremely kind and loving to those who surrounded her.

I would be lucky to be so independent as she was into her 80's! We'll miss her but it is comforting knowing that her suffering has ended.

End of life is extremely difficult although it is part of nature. What lives eventually dies and the cycle continues. Although, when we're bereaving a loss there isn't anyway to wrap our feelings around this logic!

What are your thoughts about life after death? I would love to hear your prospective. Leave me a note!

Hidden talents, continued...

My hidden talents include a snap, crackle and pop sound with my body, doodling that turned into my art career, yoyo tricks, string tricks and so on. We were poor growing up so we had to be creative in entertaining ourselves. I remember, at one point, my parents had an old tape player around and I used to record myself telling a story and then mouth the sounds as background noise. It would be a stormy night or I would make the sound of the crowd at the ball game etc. Sounds silly today but it really was a blast back then!

The article is about being silly and being able to let down your boundaries to share your goofy fun. It is really healing to laugh especially when you can laugh at yourself!

What kind of hidden talents do you possess? Can you leave me a note and share?
