Altruistic Expression

It really doesn’t matter what side of the track we grew up on, privileged economics or challenged; it is important to share with those less fortunate. If you were economically challenged and your childhood was filled with a need for more, step up for those children suffering today. Why? Because you know what it feels like to be deprived.

I believe altruistic people are miracle workers. I love the warm energy that fills the room from someone who authentically cares about others. This sense of community is really contagious. If you are part of a group of volunteers, you know how this energy empowers; it feels like the sun.

If you are part of a family that helps others, I’m sure this gift of love is instilled within you; tap into it and make the world a better place.

Since I started volunteering in a shelter in my community and at a hospital, my life has been positively charged. I do not give a lot of time to the hospital, but prioritizing a few hours a year lifts my spirit. I wouldn’t trade this feeling for anything. I’ve never been a volunteer of the week, month, or year, and I’m sure my future doesn’t hold this recognition, but I’m good with this! My heart grows each and every time I devote any time to others in need. It's really sacred. 

I hope my actions have instilled altruistic traits within my kids and will play a part in their world as they enter adulthood. This would be a beautiful legacy to leave!

I love to see a Mom who is 100% vested into her family and to see how this investment reaps the ultimate reward; contributing healthy children who become successful adults! When I asked her about what she is most proud of, she got emotional. Her response, “This always makes me cry. I am proud of my family. I am proud of Michael in the work he is willing to put forward to understand his surroundings as well as us. I am proud of the effort that we have all put in to our family as a whole. As far as I am concerned, it is not just about Michael, it’s about every member of our family. We can now say, 17 years later, we have raised and continue to raise great kids. Challenges aside, which we have had many, I always look forward to what is coming with pride and confidence.”

They are successful in embracing each other and teaching and learning from one another. ANCA has helped them achieve healthy living; This community is truly heaven sent!

I can tell that Lucia and her husband are good people who are working to reach others who are struggling. It is their goal to make the world better by promoting a discrimination free forum. It is a wonderful dream and hopefully they will be successful in their efforts. A world that loves regardless of race, gender or disability is a goal we can all promote and each individual can make a difference that pays forward into the whole that can grow through love!

Wow, what more can I say about Rita Edwards, she is a real hero! I love her passion and energy. She did everything possible to make sure that the breeder she had gotten her precious Scrabble from, couldn't continue to harm and kill other animals through neglect. Rita could have walked away like most would or maybe went above the average person by saving her puppy and just moving on with her life but instead she not only saved her baby, she saved the lives of countless others. Today, she is using her story to empower others. Pretty amazing!
