Channeling words of courage and hope, continued...

It is hard to describe how Carrie's words have inspired me, just in the little time we have interfaced, during my interview preparation. She has renewed my courage and fueled my hope with her message. I was fortunate to have received a reading and, I must say, I do believe she is gifted. I felt like I was participating in a deceased family reunion of some sort. My Father, Grandparents, friends and pets gathered for about 1 hour in a vibrational realm that she tapped into. I was really excited. I received some general stuff, that sure, you might be able to take a lucky guess about, some more detailed stuff, that maybe, could have been found with some real research and then some outrageously private stuff that there is no way she could have known without real help from the other side. I feel like I'm still feeling energized in the aftermath, 3 days later. I had trouble sleeping the night after the reading because she had hit so many vulnerable but necessary areas. I am confident we exist beyond our physical being and it makes me happy to know my family and friends are together on the other side!

Angels here on earth, continued...

In my life I have encountered many angels who have inspired, mentored and blessed me with their guidance. The biggest impact, in a group setting, has been the sincere and giving people at Safehouse Center. As I have communicated before, I haven't met anyone there that hasn't been truly wonderful. I believe, just like in the fellowship of church, groups of like minded genuine souls are so very powerful and inviting. If you are not part of a fellowship community of some sort, it is really worth while to find your way to one!

Are you a giver or taker, continued...

As I said in the article, the perfect balance is a mix between Give and Take. You don't want to disable someones growth by continually giving (of course we're not talking about children but adults) and you shouldn't take advantage of someone by continually taking. Where is the pride in these individuals? My focus in life is to reach out and give when and where I can. I love the feelings I get when I'm able to help someone. I grew up in a poor household and this instilled a drive in me to do better, an appreciation for even the smallest things and a connection with those struggling to just try to make ends meet. My reach fills a well in me that goes back to my childhood. I love being a giver but, at the same time, I'm pretty good at recognizing a "career taker" and therefore I'm careful to not encourage these types of individuals. They need an awakening through some honest and maybe a bit harsh (in your face) type of motivation!

Nurturing your passion, continued...

My girlfriend found Juli several years ago and it wasn't long before I was sitting in her chair, experiencing her artistic touch and developing our life-long connection. Juli is someone who is warm, stylish, down to earth and creative. I am far from a materialistic person and I find, most stylists in this industry, are pretty "uppity", although this label does not fit Juli by any means. We discussed the cost of her services and even though they are a bit pricey, as Julie noted, "You get what you pay for." I think we're all worth a few hours in the spa polishing up our outer appearance so it compliments our inner beauty a few times a year. Do you feel a connection with your stylist? If not, give Juli a try, you won't regret it!

Igniting your passion, continued...

I worked really hard developing my career into a high paying, top level job that I thought would make me happy. Once I got to the place I wanted to reach, I realized I had not worked hard and achieved for self-fulfillment but instead my efforts were all for money. Sure my job supported a great lifestyle but I spent my time, 24/7 stressed over issues for corporate business and they only saw me as a servant instead of a business partner. I didn't realize, until I was let go, that I would be more at peace, healthier and happier if I just let go of my push for money and instead focused my efforts on developing my passion; art and inspirational writing. In my daily endeavors, I'm trying to help others, keep to my business plan, create daily and find gratitude for all of my life blessings. I truly appreciate where I'm at in my life today, do you?

Grieving a Father and a Mother’s Soul Mate

I am now writing in a Grief Recovery forum called, Open to Hope. I re-invented my article/interview with my Mom as I felt writing about the loss of my Dad, her husband, was appropriate for my first article.

Color choices compliment your journey, continued...

As an artist I absolutely appreciate color in my life. I'm someone who loves nature and the beautiful color palette it offers. Most of my clothes fall into warm and soft color schemes because they seem to compliment me the best. If you come into my home, you'll get an "artsy" feel. Not in a modern way but more in appreciation of all of the color tones reflecting different moods in each room. My main bath portrays the mood of a spa, pale purple and chocolate brown accented with beige tile. My bedroom is a soft mint green capped by a chocolate colored ceiling and accented in taupe. These are the rooms I consider to be my escape and retreat into a safe sanctuary. For a rush of excitement, I stroll into my dining room which is colored with leathery looking rich burgundy which sets off the dark stained oak crown molding and floor. My kitchen offers a venue of creativity with pale orange revealed through a velvet beige texture capped by a white ceiling swirled with pearl colored glaze. I have the universe depicted in my youngest son's room and a collage of our favorite sports team, the Red wings in my oldest son's bedroom. I have fully embraced color in my life and I'm really aware of how it impacts us. Life would be dreary in black and white and so, I'm so grateful for my choices!
